PCMs?

Tech Gaget
Joe Sullivan

A PCM is a computer. A special computer. You, yourself may have one and you dont even know it. If you have a GM made vehicle, dating between, 1997 to present; you probably do. As i said before, a PCM is a computer. A (Power Control Module) controls your throttle output, your 40 wot lag, the governor on your car and many other aspects that you didnt even know contribute to your daily trip. What people dont know, is that you can by a new upgraded "Reprogrammed" one to up your performance. By only throwing $100 at the upgrade you can lose your governor, lose 40 wat lag, increase shift points in your tranny, about 35-40+HP depending on vehicle, create more tourqe off the line, deletes "Knock Retard" in your engine, which can cause bad performance. All and all, i think a Reprogrammed PCM is a cool Tech Gaget because, by just repacing the PCM in your car with a Reprogrammed one, you can benefit so much more. I think its cool how its pre-programmed, to alreayd have specifications on it for your car.
